Sean’s Journey

Slowness Is a Superpower

When I try to force the work, I can get things done. But I can’t listen. I can’t hear the quiet voice underneath, the one that actually knows where to go.

That voice only speaks when I slow down to a crawl. When I let my mind rest on the thing and stop demanding an answer from it.

What I keep relearning

  • Forward momentum is fuel — but I can get addicted to it, and then frazzled without it.
  • Frazzled, I can’t hear my intuition at all.
  • Peace isn’t the opposite of progress. It’s the soil progress grows in.

So slowness isn’t laziness, and it isn’t a delay. It’s the condition for the best work to show up at all.

Slow down. Let the mind rest on the subject. Allow the wisdom to arrive.

Some days I forget this completely. Writing it here so I remember.
